Does anyone have any flown food packets from Apollo? If so, it would be very helpful for me to document the serial number on the reverse for research.

If anyone has any it would be a great help!

Apollo 13 flown Cocoa has 057 printed on the paper label affixed to the drink packet.

I’d rather not deconstruct a display to examine but are you expecting another number printed on the opposite side?

Curious what you learn or hope to learn on making sense of these. I’ve never seen flown food serial numbers documented in any NASA material, stowage lists or otherwise.

David, yes, there is a serial number on the back of the food packet. It usually comprises of 2-3 letters and 3 numbers (i.e. FAD 234).

I am compiling a list of flown food packets to see if there is any correlation between the missions. It is the serial number on the reverse side which is important in this regard.

I do know the packet you're talking about and I wouldn't expect or ever ask you to deconstruct it for the sake of my research. It is a wonderful display!

I’d have been happy to take a peek if needed but didn’t even think to consult some records, Much easier.

FAU 525 is the rest of the story. Curious to learn whatever you do!

Thank you, David. That is very helpful!

I'm hoping to find some reference numbers for Apollo 7, 8, 9 and 12 also. I know of at least 5 flown food packs from Apollo 12 so they are out there.

I'll keep you apprised of my results (assuming anyone else replies).

All times are CT (US)
