I have a piece of hardware I bought years ago. It was represented to me as a hardware piece from the space shuttle, but I have never found out exactly what it is (or if it is really a shuttle hardware piece).

It is a round piece that appears to have a mirror like surface. My guess it had something to do with a telescope type instrument?

Anyway, is there any good resource anyone knows to find out exactly what this piece is? All help appreciated. Thanks and happy collecting!

I was wondering if you can post any photos of the piece?

Just to close the post, it's a infrared-transparent window from the shuttle SILTS experiment.
