Picked this beauty off craigslist and was wondering when and where this came from. I can't find anything online or in any pictures. The back has contrast and brightness dials as well as a VGA plug. It's basically a tv and telephone with push to talk on it. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

I would suspect a movie prop. I would look for any US Government property tags or other lablels of manufacturers, NASA contract numbers of the VGA era. i.e. NAS9-83836 kinds of markings. If you don't find any it lends to my suspicion. It is still really cool looking!

Where was it acquired? This NASA procurement document references a "Mission Operations Communications System 2" nearing its obsolescence and replacement in 2013 that includes "maintenance and administration terminals."

I picked it up from a guy in Roxboro, NC. He didn't seem to know anything about it. I'm guessing he got it at the local auction there since it had an auction sticker on the bottom of it. I picked it up for $150 and I'm happy I did, now just need to get it working.

All times are CT (US)
