Does anyone have any information on British high altitude pressure suits they could share or point me in the right direction?

All help gratefully received! Thanks — David

Here is one: Windak Suits (1962).
This is the High-Altitude Windak Pressure Suit developed in 1962 by Baxter, Woodhouse and Taylor Ltd. to fulfil R.A.F. requirements.

If you investigate that blog site further, you can see that a Windak suit also appeared on Doctor Who.

Very interesting. Just bought an early 80's cyberman that apparently uses a British cooling suit spayed silver. Must have had a really good army surplus store nearby!

Were these suits developed for the canceled twin-jet British Aircraft Corporation TSR-2 project? Suits eventually worn onboard RAF jets (BAC Lightning, other...)?

All times are CT (US)
