Is there a website that documents (with pictures) some of the flown presentations from the space shuttle program? I have one item (STS-130) and unsure if it was flown — the presentation does not specify). |

Can you clarify what you mean by presentation? Are you referring to a patch or flag display, or something else?If you are referring to a patch/flag presentation, if it doesn't state it flew, it didn't fly. |

This is a patch. There is a note on the back stating it was flown.

Does anyone have a similar presentation? Is it flown or could somebody have typed out the note and taped it to the back of the item? |

I have several presentations with flown flags and flown patches. All denote the flown status on the front along with signatures of NASA officials or the crew (most look to be printed).I also have one the does not list the patch as flown but is mounted on a similar presentation display. I have always assumed it was not flown but an award of an authentic mission patch. |

Here is another item. Has anybody seen this one before? It is for STS-135. |

I just received an STS-135 flag presentation just like that with the same inscription. It was originally owned by a veteran who was given the presentation (with three signed crew member portraits, sticker, patch and pin) while he was at Walter Reed. |

I think we purchased from the same person. I am unsure if it is legit or not. |

I have one similar to this, but for STS-118, that was given to wounded warriors from Walter Reed at an event in Maryland, with Paul Lockhart and Carl Walz giving a presentation. When the event was over, and all of the veterans had received one, they gave the extras out to others that were in attendance. Mine reads "In deep appreciation for your service to our Country, this American flag was flown aboard the United States Space Shuttle Endeavour, STS-118, during an assembly mission to the International Space Station, August 8-21, 2007. Presented by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration." Signed (preprinted) by Michael Griffin, NASA Administrator. |
