I bought a Remove Cap Before Flight tag from the shuttle program, but would like to keep it in its original state and without further damage. The tag is about 8-12' in length and 1/2 to 1' wide and made of cloth.

What is the best way to preserve/display the tag?

The best way to preserve it is to not display it.

Keeping it out of light in some sort of safe bag would be best. Archival/craft/comic book shops often have these kinds of mylar or polypropylene storage bags. Regular plastic bags deteriorate and outgas over time and can discolor or damage it. If you want to display it put it behind something UV resistant.

Thanks for the advice and suggestion. I was thinking about those screw-tite ticket holders from UltraPro to use, but I also have archival bags.

All times are CT (US)
