I understand that documented sample bags of several different configurations were used on the Apollo missions, with two basic shapes in use, cup-shaped and flat rectangular. The cup-shaped bags came in sets of approximately 35 (used on the Apollo 12 and Apollo 14 missions) and 48 (used on the Apollo 15, 16 and 17 'J' missions).

I have an unflown training used 'flat rectangular' example that was consigned by a technician at KSC.

Have any flown (but presumably unused!) examples ever been sold?

Would really appreciate any comments or additional information that you may have on this item. Thanks.
