Does anyone know some information about this plate? Or how many plates were made and flown on board Spacelab 1? |

Apparently 500 were flown on STS-9. I was given a set by the Head of Communication at ESTEC some years ago and some from Ulf Merbold. I have a mylar logo plate and a small flag from Spacelab D1 (Challenger), with the letter from the DLR project manager outlining the whole kit flown on D1 (total 200 logo plates flown, 15 small flags), and 2 similar plates from Spacelab-2. I wasn't planning to sell since for me they have a personal connection, but I'd be interested in how much people think they might be worth. Seeing how flown patches and flags sell on eBay, I'm thinking around $200-500 each plate. |

I'd probably put the value more around $100-$250. |

An example sold on eBay last year for $113.50. Some years before that I saw one sell on eBay for $61.56. |

I saw one on eBay several months ago, and wanted to bid on it, but missed out on it. What type of material is it made of, and is it flexible or more rigid? |

It's mylar, very light and thin. |
