This is my first attempt at posting a photo here. What you see are three Gemini heat shield samples, one unused, and two that have been used in some fashion or another. All three were gifts from someone who had them for 30+ years. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing whether or not the "used" pieces were from a test or were actually flown, but all three are pretty cool nevertheless. What you see in the background is my 1/24th scale Gemini model from Nick Proach with some astro autos on the equipment module. The glare comes from the plastic display box they are in.
