I finally put all my info on flown space medals on a website.

This is a free site and I am not a web master but I would like to hear from you guys about it. While it is not finished yet, I think I have most of the information up. Thanks.

Tim, very nice website!

Looks like I have my work cut out for me to come close to the collection that you have put together!

Thank you for sharing with us on cS!

Are all your medallions framed? It's a great idea and beautifully displayed. Really neat.

I wouldn't have enough wall space to do the same (if I had so many medallions!) — are you still able to identify each one and where they come from?

I have all my flown medals framed and displayed. No fun if I can't see them.

My collection pictures are actually old as my collection has grown some and I needed to move things around. Hopefully will get new ones up soon.

I also have some non-flown medals displayed (Caltech JPLs, Balfour medals) and a lot of silver not displayed.

And yes I know 'em all.

Congrats Tim!

Great website and (even better) collection!

You actually have a couple I don't have... the "quest" of finding them ALL never stops...

I have updated my collection pictures. I've added some new medals and pins. Also had to do some rearranging so I can fit new ones coming out.

Tim, your site just keeps getting better every time I visit it! By the way, where did you get your SSME medallions?

Your site has inspired me to show and share my collection. Although, it will be after our big move.

Any thoughts of coin albums to somewhat display the coins/medallions? I'm looking at these types of albums. Thanks again!

Jason, thanks.

I got one of the SSMEs on eBay several years ago and the other recently at a Regency Superior Auction.

Don't know much about those album. They look nice and appear to be one size fits all capsules where you will need to get the different size o-rings. I prefer those type.

Tim, that is a great collection and helped me ID a few in my own collection. Also, thanks for selling me a few I did not have! You are always great to work with!

Tim, I noticed that you had a few graded by NGC. I took a look at their website and fees, but it's a little overwhelming. What sort of service would space coins and medallions fall into? I know they are grading the coin, but do they put a value and do they need any provenance when submitting?

Jason, I have never had any of my medallions graded or slabbed. Those on the site were already slabbed by someone else. I personally don't see the benefit.

Tim, that's good to know. Thanks! Besides, reading their categories NGC looks like to grade and "assign value" to currency vice both. I'm sure they wouldn't know how to or how much these coins/medallions are worth.

By the way, I should be sending you and posting of my collection in the next couple of weeks.

NGC has stopped grading MFA (and similar type) medallions. These jerks even accepted a batch from me…then about the time that I should have received graded and "slabbed" medallions I was informed that they would no longer grade these items. They then returned my medallions as I had sent them. Although they refunded my fees, I was not compensated for the postage, insurance, effort, etc. Again, I want to stress that I had received confirmation that they had received my medallions and was following their progress on-line. I was obviously lied to…and warn others to avoid NGC.

I have made a new website TPE Space Place. I found a template that I like better (it was actually for an e-store) and converted it. It's much easier for me to add and change things. It also allows me to display information on the medals when you display the medal.

Of course this is not complete yet, I still need to update some pictures of my collection and add more pages for other collectibles such as models and such. Please have a look around and let me know what you think or if I have some mistakes, etc. thanks.

Tim, the site is looking great and can't wait to see what else you are adding. Are you still going to incorporate the downloads of the spreadsheets of the various medallions?
