Former space shuttle and space station astronaut Daniel Bursch (STS-51, STS-68, STS-77, STS-108, ISS Exedition 4) has a new children's book:

Up to the Moon!
by Daniel Bursch and Sharon Yencharis

In Up to the Moon, the first in a series of four children's bedtime adventure books, My You is a child who prepares for bed and then goes on an adventure with a cat and an adult in a squink (spaceship) up to the moon. They meet a bink, some wiggles and a snoring danicus aquatics in the Deep Sleeping Dream Sea. Their squink gets stuck in the moon pie, but the wiggles and bink free the ship, and My You and the crew fly back home to earth.

On their way home they see space junk that they clean up with their space claw, and they also see that Earth's ice is melting. They land safely in bed and make wishes before sleep, and the characters for the next adventure are on the last page of the book enticing them into their next adventure.

  • Grade Level: Kindergarten - 2
  • Hardcover: 58 pages
  • My You Books (August 1, 2019)
  • ISBN-10: 1733315098
  • ISBN-13: 978-1733315098
