The Space Association of Australia is delighted to announce the broadcast of an exclusive three part interview with Professor James Hansen, the author of "First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong," the official biography of Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon.The interviews go to air over three Wednesday evenings during the SAA's weekly radio program "The Space Show" (Australia). The first two segments have been broadcast,you can listen live in Melbourne (Australia) on 88.3 Southern FM on Wednesday November 13, between 7-8 pm (AEST). The show is also streamed live. We will upload each after broadcast, Part 1 of the interview is now online. |

Part 2 of this interview was broadcast last night and will be on line next Wednesday.Sad quote of the segment (Jim talking about Neil's passing): "He really didn't need to go, there were some issues post surgery that could have been handled better." This relates to the pacemaker that was placed on Neil's heart, the bypass went well and Neil was up and around but 'something' went wrong and the world lost a great man too soon. |

I've now listened to both of these and they are FANTASTIC. Lot's of interesting background information on Neil's life and the process of working with him on the book. Some real tidbits of gossip! Download these and put them on your MP3 player for your walk - highly recommended.Much obliged! Thank you sir. |
