I'm currently doing a bit of writing for my college newspaper, 'The University Observer' of University College Dublin. After interviewing the four Apollo astronauts at Autographica, I did up an article inspired by speaking to them. It's not the first space-related article I've written, but I thought I'd link it to see what you guys think.Any feedback or comments would be much appreciated. |

As someone who's done a lot of wrting himself (I also did plenty of college newspaper articles on subjects that were close to me), I was impressed.Best of all, you avoided the "What did it FEEL like to walk on the moon?" filler questions so many other people ask! |

Many thanks for sharing and good luck with your "journalism" career, however long it lasts!I, too, am one college student who took advantage of the opportunity to write for my college paper. It was a great time (1975). The one space article I wrote was for the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. As I was able to enroll in the only two "journalism" courses offered at the time, one of my professors was a big-name local paper writer-editor and I got to write a book review for the Sunday newspaper on spaceflight. I got paid $20 for writing that, but the real thrill was when he told me I also got to keep the book! Experiences one NEVER forgets! |

Shane, I feel more than qualified to comment on your interview article, having been involved in writing and editing books and articles for the greater part of my life. This is a first-rate piece of writing which certainly involves and intrigues the reader and humanises the experience of going to the moon. Good, well thought-out questions and succinctly edited responses. Your narrative is concise and makes good reading. Altogether a great job - keep it up. |

Excellent Shane. A copy would be a welcome addition to one of our Midlands Spaceflight Society CapCom issues. Drop me an e-mail if you'd like it published in one? |

I agree with Colin (and he seems to like my stuff). I like how this article seemed to approach things more thoughtfully than the typical soundbyte nature that most articles today have. Nicely written in my opinion and I hope you continue with your endeavours. |
