We are currently editing our next film in the Apollo reflections series, this one featuring General Tom Stafford, "Apollo Reflections: The General on Gemini & Apollo" and seeking funding through our Indiegogo campaign.

I am also extremely pleased to announce that none other than Apollo 13 astronaut Fred Haise will be credited as an executive producer on the film – which we hope to release by the end of next month. And when I say, none other, I mean that literally since none other has yet become an executive producer through the Indiegogo campaign to support the film. But you still have time!

While not directly involved in the film's production, Fred was one of the first to support it and his generous support very much helped make it possible. I am extremely grateful for and humbled by Fred's generosity and kind words:

The product I know will be outstanding but that is strictly due to the talent and efforts of yourself... thanks for your great work preserving some history from those who flew!
When Freddo sent his support for the film he wrote he considered the Apollo Reflections films to be "great productions," and liked my "down to earth more informal interview style."

If you haven't seen our Apollo 13 film with Fred or Apollo 7 with Walt Cunningham, please do.

And please consider contributing and becoming a producer or executive producer (or other great way to support) the film along with the incredible Fred Haise.

The ultra-high-resolution NASA images in the film that we restored are public domain, but each National Air and Space Museum photo we use costs $108 and high-resolution archival stock footage is priced by the second (unless you want to pay to fly to some archives to do it yourself). We can do so much more with just a little help. And you can get some great perks like:

  • "Thank You" and "Special Thank You" credit with your name listed on our website and in the film;

  • The Apollo 10 Flight Images Collection USB including all 1400+ Apollo 10 mission photos in the highest resolution and quality ever offered;

  • The completed film, "Apollo Reflections: The General on Gemini & Apollo" (included on the mission USB – able to plug and play in any computer or smart tv);

  • The Complete Apollo 7 through Apollo 11 Mission Photograph Collection, "First Steps", with over 5000 ultra-high-resolution photos on a custom Saturn V shaped USB;

  • Producer and Executive Producer credits in the film and the opportunity to have input in the final cut with the director and editor;

  • Complete transcripts of the interview;

  • Exclusive raw footage not included in the film;

  • Even autographed memorabilia hand-signed by the General himself!;

  • PLUS (since our next film will feature Apollo 9 astronaut Rusty Schweickart) an approximately 1/2 inch piece of flown Kapton Foil from the first manned lunar module, Spider, retrieved by Apollo 9 astronaut Rusty Schweickart and from his personal collection with related documentation!
And of course, be part of a film about Tom Stafford along with Fred.

The film (estimated to run about 40 minutes) covers all four of Stafford's missions (Gemini 6, Gemini 9, Apollo 10, and Apollo-Soyuz) as well as some of his childhood and influences growing up in Weatherford, Oklahoma. I think it will be our best yet, and I'd love for you to be a part of it. Thank you! — Jeremy

I'd be interested to know which photos from the National Air and Space Museum you are using. What do they have that NASA doesn't have? Thanks.

Sorry I missed your question earlier — yes, most of what I use in the film is public domain, but not all.

During Gemini 6, being just a couple of weeks before Christmas, Schirra and Stafford played a prank involving UFOs that ended with Schirra playing jingle bells on a small harmonica and Stafford accompanying him by ringing some small bells. So I needed high resolution NASM images of the harmonica and bells. Its a great story, along with the many others he relates.

There is just over a week remaining to support this very worthy film. The first cut runs about 45 minutes, with Stafford discussing all four of his missions, growing up in Weatherford Oklahoma, background and legacy of Apollo, and his thoughts on the future.

And great perks — for $25 you get the Apollo 10 Flight Images collection — all 1400+ images in the highest resolution and fully restored (this was one of the gifts presented to attendees of Stafford's Apollo 10 50th celebration) which will also include the complete 4K version of the completed film.

For just $25 more you get thank you credit in the film.

Other great perks including the complete collection of flight images from Apollo 7 through 11 on our custom Saturn V shaped USB — 5000+ images totaling 64 GB — again, in a resolution and quality unmatched from any other source.

Producers will get a first look and have input into the final cut.

Executive producers will have a credit line next to Fred Haise, and get all kinds of other goodies, like a Stafford autograph and a half-inch piece Kapton foil from the first lunar module (in honor of the subject of my next film, Rusty Schweickart).

Please contribute if you can — Stafford's stories of his missions deserve to be preserved (he is the sole surviving member of three of them). The fundraising goal on Indiegogo represents the actual out of pocket costs of producing this film, and does not include the many hundreds of hours of research, cleaning photos, editing etc. I am committed to this project (having interviewed 9 Apollo era astronauts so far) and want to make the best products possible.

I'll keep doing this no matter what. But your contributions and participation make that easier and help so much. Thank you!

I don't see the complete collection of flight images as a possible perk?
