I know there was a website where you can download Space Shuttle Press Kits from STS-1 to STS-135 as well as Expedition-1 press kits onward. The address I have has not been working. This site employs a drop down menu to access the press kits. Has anybody else had trouble accessing this site? On edit: I just found a nasa.gov site which you can access the press kits from 1997 onward. I am looking for 1981-1996. |

The Johnson Space Center History Portal has the space shuttle press kits available from 1981 through 2002. |

Well, there's a coincidence! Looks like I picked a bad time to download all the Shuttle press kits. Shuttlepresskit.com is apparently kaput, and nasa.gov and JSC's websites are full of bad links, but I've found all but STS-112 and 113. They're on Scribd, but I'm not interested in downloading extraneous readers to convert them. If anyone has those two press kits in Adobe PDF format and wouldn't mind sharing them, or if you have links I've missed, I'd greatly appreciate it. |

Oops... checked my file again and still have one MIA: STS-84. The link on the JSC page for this one is a 404. I've found a couple of text-only links on NASA sites, but if Mike (or anyone else) has a PDF they can send or link, that would be awesome. |

Does anybody know what happened to shuttlepresskit.com? I tried to access the site and an error message occurred. |

I guess this is good as any place for this. As stated previously, the JSC history portal has all the shuttle press kits online. They also have the Rockwell/Boeing Press Information and Mission Timeline (or MRK for Mission Reference Kit) documents on line, but many are missing. I recently came across nine hard copies of some of the missing ones. I scanned them and made PDF versions. I tried contacting the curator and responsible NASA person to see if they would like to add these to their collection, but got no response. Just curious if anybody knows who I should contact? Also, I would like to encourage others who might have hard or soft copies of the missing ones to make them available to others. These are the MRKs that I found: STS-64, 65, 69, 70, 71, 78, 83, 94 and 51-A. |
