Astro Info Service Ltd release
Zenit collection CD

Zenit was the original AIS news magazine on the Soviet space programme, edited by Neville Kidger and published between June 1985 and December 1992. All 64 original issues and supplements are now available on a CD. The collection features regular contributions from Rex Hall, Andy Salmon, Phil Clark and many others.

All copies have been scanned in their original form into pdf format together with a complete index for the whole collection. The popular 1985 book on the Soviet Cosmonaut Detachment (over 120 pages) compiled by Rex Hall and Dave Shayler is also included.

Full details are available via the AIS website. Visit our home page for our other new products and great gift ideas.

Just received the cd. Very nice to see how knowledge about Soviet spaceflight developed over those years!

The two specials were not AIS originals and copyright clearance to reproduce them was still awaited at time of production. Once this has been secured they will be made available.

Thanks for the kind words Ed. I found it fun to re-visit the collection as we prepared them for the CD. It was also surprising to see what we managed to include when compiling the Index. Overall it was a great time recalled with very good friends... always much missed.

I plan to put the ORBITER issues on CD next year, but it will take a while to scan them all (over 90!!!). In addition there are other titles planned under the ZENIT label so keep watching along with new works only available through the Astro website.

...and keep a look out for more titles from yours truly via Springer over the next few years too.

Thanks again for the support and I am pleased we have been able to help you take the opportunity to recall a little bit of nostalgia from sleuthing the Soviets. Enjoy.

All times are CT (US)
