I'm posting this message to put in a plug for JL Pickering's latest effort. I just received my copy of the Apollo 11 High-Res Image Library. With literally thousands of high resolution files, this is an absolute wealth of original images from before, during, and after the flight of Apollo 11. Although it would be impossible to compile every single Apollo 11 image, JL has surely come close, and he's made them all available on a single DVD (at a surprisingly reasonable price). I might also add that a number of the images on this disc were originally in extremely bad condition, some virtually unuseable. Mr. Pickering located a Photoshop practitioner of enormous skill, who was able to bring these images back to life. Well done, JL!

...and may I say that you did a great job on those images, Dave!

I couldn't see Apollo 11 on the website. Has it sold out?

Just wanted to give a little website update. A new and improved website is currently being worked on. The new site will have all of the missing titles and allow for VISA and Pay Pal transactions. The current list of titles are MR-3, MA-7, Gemini 3 and 4, Apollo's 1, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and ASTP. Apollo 17 is about 3 weeks away. Shuttle is available from STS-1 thru 41-D. Send me an e-mail at roverpick@aol.com for prices and multiple disc purchasing discounts. Thanks.

It appears the website hasn't been updated for a while. I don't think any of the titles are "sold out" since I believe JL Pickering makes them on demand.

Also missing from the website are Gemini 4, Apollo 8, and Apollo 16 (and perhaps a few of the shuttle missions as well).

All of the volumes come highly recommended. I have yet to be disappointed with any of them.

Got the Apollo 11 disc. Wonderful! JL says he's just about done with the Apollo 17 disc. I'll be getting that one, too.

The Apollo 17 disc is awaiting three final complete Hasselblad magazines that I haven't processed yet. We want to include ALL the onboard photos...

Does an "Apollo 8" photo-DVD exist?

Philip, yes on the Apollo 8 image disc. All of the manned Apollo missions are now available with the exception of 9 and 10. These last two should be completed by late summer. Apollo 17 has just been finished and contains approximately 4400 images on two discs. E-mail me directly for more info.

Okay, but the website could use an update.

Philip, read the above posts for news about the website.

Maybe we should close or merge this thread with this one.
