Culmination of a long matured project since their first meeting in 1982, this book relates in a new and exceptional way the experience of air and space through a series of questions posed by the actress to the astronaut.

The book focuses on the themes of:

  • Space: the role of the astronaut, his training, flying, life and work, process of, launching, docking, spacewalks, incidents, end of flight, orbiting, landing, post-flight.
  • His "Jardins Secrets" [couldn't translate this]: Brittany, women, children, friends.
  • His other passions: aviation and the organ, Russia and America.
  • His personal tastes: models, artistic interests, sport.
  • The imagination and meditation.
  • [Making-ups], beliefs, God, the attitude towards death.
  • The personality of inventor / researcher
  • In conclusion: the vision of the future.
The book comes out when JL Chrétien has left his position as CEO and will become more strongly involved in his work as lecturer, whose purpose is to communicate on the future of man in space and to participate in the great debate on the future of our planet.

Catherine Alric, alumnus of the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, model, actress, is also author of books for children, writer, vice president of the SPA [Société Protectrice des Animaux, organization for the protection of animals, Chris.] du Cantal, Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur, the mother of a boy of eleven years, Lois.

Jean-Loup Chrétien, a jet fighter and test-pilot, is a cosmonaut and astronaut. He was a cosmonaut at Star City in Moscow in 1980-1982, and 1986-1988, then astronaut for NASA in 1984-1985 and 1994-2001. He made three flights in space and a spacewalk. He has over 12,000 flight hours and 1.5 months in space. He is a member of many aerospace associations in France and the USA, the hero of the Soviet Union and Doctor Honoris Causa from The Moscow Aviation Institute. He is also CEO of a company, Tietronix Optics. He was awarded "Commandeur de la Legion d'Honneur" and he is also a founding member of the Académie de l'Air et de l'Espace [Air & Space Academy].
