Does Stephen Clemmons still post on here? I remember reading a while back that he was planning on writing a book about Apollo 1, and I was wondering if that was still happening, especially since there seems to be no single tome covering the accident. |

Stephen is still working on the book; as of May, he was wrapping up some final research before pressing ahead with finding a publisher. |

Like the original poster, I've been wondering about Mr. Clemmons' memoirs, and was looking forward to reading them. I'm sure there's many others on cS with similar sentiments.I also hope and pray for his quick recovery. |

Steve's book was well on the way but Steve became ill in May. He had another setback the last couple weeks with additional serious health issues. |

I have reviewed the first half of his book and it was great. Up untill he became ill he was in the process of tweaking the second half. His book will be very unique in that he was there, a first hand account, and it is a "tell all" account of what really transpired. It needs to be published and his side of the story told. |

I, too, wish Stephen a most speedy recovery.I sent him an e-mail tonight offering him any help that he might need in getting his memoirs published. I have contacts in the literary world, and if I can help him to secure an agent (if he has not already), I would really love to, as I am very eager to see this book published. |

This is Kevin R. Clemmons, son of Alan B. Clemmons and Grandson of Steve Clemmons. I regret to inform you that last Sunday, my grandfather lost his battle with lung cancer. |

Stephen had been working on a book about the Apollo 1 fire before he passed away. Was it ever finished and is there any likelihood that the book will be published? In my correspondence with Stephen it was obvious such a book would make for compelling reading. |

Rick, Stephen's obituary stated that he had almost completed the book and it's hoped that it would be completed next year (2015).I don't know if he ever found a publisher for the book. |

Stephen Clemmons gets a mention in the latest issue of Air & Space magazine. This reminds me that we are still waiting for this memoir. What's the latest on a future publication date? |
