Just thought I'd mention, in case members are unaware of it, that The Times newspaper has placed virtually all of its newspapers online, with free access - at least for the moment - to anyone.I've spent the last two days downloading all their coverage of spaceflight from Sputnik to Apollo. Take a look. It's fantastic. Colin.

Wow. What a resource! And it goes back to 1785, an era loosely defined as "pre-Sputnik." Unfortunate that it stops at 1985, however. I suppose they couldn't give away everything. Do any other British newspapers have an online archive? |

I also recommend newspaperarchive.com, "Easily Find Over 2.80 Billion Names • Over 936.36 Million Articles Search 86.7 Million Pages • 759 Cities • 240 Years • 2,878 Titles". Requires a subscription, but very useful for research, in my experience.------------------ John Charles Houston, Texas | |
