ISBN: 978-0-16-081381-8 This is the seventh volume in an ongoing series of reference books that are useful for those interested in both space history and space policy. The documents are grouped into two thematic chapters with an introductory essay for each subject. Chapter one, "First Steps into Space: Projects Mercury and Gemini" is by Roger Launius. Chapter two, "Project Apollo: Americans to the Moon" is by John Logsdon. John M. Logsdon is the former Director of the Space Policy Institute at the George Washington University. Roger D. Launius is a member of the Space History Division at the National Air and Space Museum.
