I just love the NASA documentary, The Time of Apollo.

I just saw it again after a long time and it still gives me goosebumps, the music and the voice of Burgess Meredith are just beautiful.

There's a similar film Burgess Meredith narrated for NASA in 1972, called "A Man's Reach Should Exceed His Grasp," that traces the history of flight from Kitty Hawk to the Moon. It's one of the most perfect films I've ever seen. The combination of the use of image, the music, and Meredith's narration is absolutely priceless, and this film never fails to move me. It's one of the two movies I wish I could show people when they ask me why I love aviation ("One Six Right" is the other).

I've never seen "The Time of Apollo," but now I can't wait to watch it when next I'm near a fast connection. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks Mark for posting The Time of Apollo. I have not seen it. It's done very well. I always liked Burgess Meredith's work, both his acting and voiceovers. Now I have to find how to get it on DVD or VHS.
