We are pleased to announce the seventh in a series of NASA reprints: "Project Mercury Familiarization Manual SEDR 104 1 November 1961." This was updated for Capsules 18 & 19 (MA-7 Scott Carpenter and an unflown capsule).

Approximately 460 pages of explanatory text, photos, many diagrams and even 6 or fold-out diagrams because the schematics are just too big to fit on one regularly sized page!

This is essentially the pilot's guide to the Mercury capsule. After reading this volume, if you have a good memory, the "right stuff" and a Mercury capsule, with some luck you should be able to complete a mission!

This volume was declassified in 1970 and contains a few handwritten notes here and there as the original was an engineering copy used in the project. Rather than detracting, we believe these notes actually increase the interest of the volume.

We have republished this in a binder similar to the original. The complete text in its original size. In pressboard binder, printed on regular paper stock, 8.5x11 inches, c. 460 pages. Private reprint by Boggs SpaceBooks. $39.95. Quantities are limited.

Best wishes,
Donald & Tamara Boggs
