Have any of our Russian-speaking cS members out there read Konstantin Feoktistov's memoirs? For a book project, I would like to learn a few facts from the book. I can't locate a copy (nor be able to read it if I could). If you have read it and would be willing to help me answer a few questions, I would appreciate email contact. Thanks.

From NASA's History latest newsletter (Nov.07):
quote:
Further down the line... a translation and commentary on selected parts of the Mishin and Feokstikov diaries (Peter Gorin and Asif Siddiqi)
Is the Feokstikov diaries the same as his memoirs?

Chris.

Thanks, Chris. I believe the memoirs and diary are one and the same. I'll check into this.

Konstantin Feoktistov has written his autobiography, which tranlates as "The Trajectory of Life". It has been in circulation for at least five years. Alex Panchenko sells signed copies.

It is online. As such, I have used machine translation on portions of it.

If there are indeed diaries in the level of detail as say Kamanin "Hidden Cosmos", that would certainly be an excellent first hand account.
