Next Wednesday (Sept. 12) at 10 p.m. on BBC Four: The Three Rocketeers
The work of engineer Alan Bond, who was inspired by the comic-book character Dan Dare to begin building rockets in his back garden as a teenager. Along with his colleagues Richard Varvill and John Scott-Scott they have designed a single-stage-to-orbit spacecraft — Skylon.
