Many of you know that these originals are scarce to rare and command hundreds of dollars at auctions or bookstores if they can be found at all. Although a number of the Apollo documents can be found online in PDF formats, many have been scanned with less than desirable reproductions. The originals we are using were engineers' and astronauts' working copies, so some pages may have some handwritten notes which we feel may actually increase the interest of the reader. These handwritten notes often make the text and illustrations easier to understand.

This first volume in our series is the "Lunar Module Orientation Study Guide". This was printed for internal use in January 1969 by the LM Instructor Group and was designed to emphasize Lunar Module Subsystems. Since it is entirely drawings and schematics, it was used in a class setting to augment lectures.

Chapters on structures, propulsion and RCS, explosive devices, the following subsystems: environmental control, electrical power, guidance, navigation, control, instrumentation, communications; as well as highlights of the lunar module utilization—the lunar landing mission.
