Wow ! What I would give to own this little lot. 216 bound volumes of NASA technical publications.

I do hope a museum or other teaching body gets these, it would be a shame if they wasn't available for research purposes.

Wouldn't it be advisable to sell this in a Manned lot and an Unmanned spaceflight related lot ?
The Manned lot could even be split in different projects ...
It could make more money that way and shipping would be less ( notice the pile of boxes )

By The Way ...
Shouldn't we try to buy this with the collectSpace forum members ?
Afterwards we could "auction" it in parts here ?

Hi Philip and Alain,

The notes are bound in numerical order so would be a complete mix of manned and unmanned in each volume.
Sadly I think splitting the notes would also destroy the bindings, which makes this lot so attractive.

I think it would be far better for them to be kept together and us have a small chance of reading them on some online source at some distant point in the future, than destroy the set and all have a little bit of it !

You never know, maybe some University or something is looking at them right now (I hope)

I cannot believe that lot went for that small an amount of money !

If it wasn't for what will be a large cost of shipping, I would have bid up to $1500.00 for that, even though I would have been in debt.

Someone got real lucky !

How would you scan a bound book without cracking the spine?

They are not cheap but there are scanners available that can scan bound books without touching them, and then automatically compensate for the curve of the page, and convert to text file or pdf etc.

Well worth it with a collection of that calibre !
