The companion volume to "Hypersonic" (see subject line) has been published. It is a fine collection of photos, most of which I have never seen before. Every X-15 buff should have one...Ed |

Your are 10000000% correct - this is the best compilation on the X-15 I have seen, both the original Hypersonic and companion piece. The pictures in both are astounding, and even show some drop pilots who's pictures Ive been looking for! Dennis and Tony did an amazing job. (I picked up Hypersonic in Dayton recently -Scott Crossfield and Pete Knight signed it there. I'll take it to LA and add Dana and Engle, and probably Fitz Fulton and Joe Cotton (drop pilots) - and later Bob White and another drop pilot Bob Mosley when I return home.) |

Ed,Would you have bibliographical data for this book? I can find the original one on amazon.co.uk, but not this scrapbook. Bedankt! Jürgen

How about this. If this doesn't work, try Amazon.com and search for "X-15 photo scrapbook".Ed |

Thanks, Ed. Strange enough, when you type "Jenkins" or "scrapbook" on amazon.co.uk, it does not come up, when you type "Landis" AND "X-15", it does. Go figure...Jürgen |

Another book? I recently bought Hypersonic, excellent book. One of these days I'll get around to reading all these books I buy all the time. Tom

I just received my copy of the X-15 Scrapbook. The photographs were great. I am a little disappointed in the fact that the book is a paperback and is smaller than the Hypersonic volume. How does anyone else feel about it. Larry McGlynn |

Of course I would have loved a book in hardcover and with twice the number of pages, but still it's a great book.Ed |

Ed,Thanks for the heads up on the books. I just received them in the mail today from Amazon. (I am easily taken by peer pressure to buy!) Stunning attention to detail. I have been fortunate enough to see, "Balls Three," twice now in Tucson. I took special interest in the description of the nose art. They even show the various paint schemes the various X-15 aircraft had in detail. I was sure to check out and confirm my X-15 model had the appropriate markings too! It is an easy book to pick up and scan through. Yet, there is enough detail to boggle the enthusiast until the cows come home.
