I thought I'd relate my recent experience in ordering books from Walt Cunningham's website. The whole experience was excellent. There were a couple of helpful e-mails from Mr Cunningham, the inscriptions in the books were carefully done, and the books were well packaged and speedily posted. I'd thoroughly recommend direct purchase from Mr Cunningham to others. |

I sent Walt a photo of the Apollo 7 launch on Saturday. Emailed him on Sunday saying I forgot to include a silver pen and to let me know if he needed me to send him one. He responded moments later that he had silver in Texas so all was good. Got my picture back on Wednesday signed "Up, up and away. Walt Cunningham Apollo 7" I was very pleased and surprised by the quick turn around, even though I did include Priority Mail postage on the return envelope. His fee is $75 but I thought it was a bargain and well worth it. Thanks Mr. Cunningham! |

Mr. Cunningham is a class act. I e-mailed him when I had bought a copy of the 1977 All American Boys with a long inscription that was personal. I had bought the book for a couple of bucks and I e-mailed him to see if the person he had signed it to might have lost it or it had gotten donated inadvertently. If so I wanted the owner to have it back.He e-mailed me back saying that it was made out to a friend from grade school who had passed away and that I could add it to my collection with no worries. I appreciated that he took the time to let me know. |

Walt was one of the highlights of my ASF 2008 visit. Like most of his colleagues he's a humble man who is full of stories and has lots of time for space geeks. I also really enjoyed Walt's audio CD of him reading The All American Boys, even though I have the book it is great to have the writer (never mind an astronaut) read the story to you. |

Walt and his wife Dot are fantastics. They were my guests lately, where he presented his book translated into Italian. |

I have bought a couple signed checks from his website and they have been good ones: one for the ASF; the last one was really good signed by him on front and on back signed by DOT!!! He wrote her a check! Thanks to both for giving us a chance to show our support for his service! |

I've done business with Walt and Dot a couple of times and have always been impressed by how well they take care of us. From my transactions with them and what I hear from others, they really do appreciate us, and I think the world of them both. They're good folks. |

I simply adore Walt and Dot! I've met them in person once and corresponded a few times by email. They are both charming, friendly and incredibly kind. If anyone is thinking of doing business with Walt and Dot, go for it! You won't regret it. |

Does anyone know if Walt is still signing through the mail for his fee? I emailed him about signing a copy of "In the Shadow of the Moon" from from the Outward Odyssey series and I never heard back. |

I purchased an autographed photo from Walt's website at the beginning of January but I haven't heard back yet and haven't had anything arrive in the mail so I'm not sure if it's the best route to go down. He's always been a gent when I've met him in person and very accommodating, but I'm not sure if his site is active. |

I've worked with Walt a few times over the past year or so. And in each case, there were delays. With the pandemic, and his age, things just aren't as easy as they once were. He and his wife just aren't able to handle things as quickly as before. But I always received my items eventually, and Walt was enormously friendly. So I'm confident you'll get your items. In one case, I ordered a rather expensive item from his site, and it hadn't arrived in about 5 months. I emailed him, and he said that he had my order on the list, but he hadn't been able to ship it yet. It arrived a few weeks later. So it can take some time. Also, Walt told me that he's having trouble updating his website to reflect that certain items are sold out. If you're ordering a signed photo or book, that shouldn't be an issue. But if you're planning on ordering something limited (like flown items, rare patches, etc), you may want to send an email and make sure it's in stock first. |

Wondering if anyone has had a reply from Mr. Cunningham recently? I bought an autographed photo in January from his website but haven't received it yet. I also sent an email a few weeks ago to Walt but haven't heard back. Has anyone been in contact or had success through his website recently? Thanks guys, I don't want to pester Mr. Cunningham, I know he’s a busy man! |

I had a brief conversation with him this week, and he was preparing to ship some things out. So he's definitely working on it. But I'm sure he's got a lot of back orders from the past few months, so it may take a few weeks more. But he's working through them as he can. My advice is further patience. He gets a lot of emails, and I think that just slows things down and complicates things. |

Has anyone heard back from Walt yet? I’m still waiting patiently but thought it worthwhile to check in! |

Walt was at Spacefest in July. He was in a wheelchair. |
