Just wanted everyone to know that Mae Jemison is first rate. Not only did she send me her autograph through the mail in a timely manner but I had sent her a book, "Black Stars in Orbit," last year (2002) that she signed as well.

I had sent the book last year and I guess the letter and return envelope got misplaced and I had thought it never made it to her. After receiving the autograph photo back, I wrote her and asked if she ever received the book. She did. Somehow the return envelope and letter got separated. She sent the book back along with a nice note.

Check out her website.

I did fix the binder on the book and now I have a pretty nice book signed by Jemison, Charles Bolden, Fred Gregory, Winston Scott, Yvonne Cagle, Stephanie Wilson, Bernard Harris, Leland Melvin, Al Drew, Michael Anderson, Robert Curbeam, Joan Higginbottn and Guy Bluford. Too bad I didn't start this book back in the 80's.

Just wanted to pass on a happy ending story.

Does anyone know if Mae Jemison would sign her book through the mail? As the story goes I met her at a nearby college after a speech she had given back in 2001. I just missed purchasing her book as it had sold out, but I was able to order it from her. I want to send it to her to sign and return, but I'm afraid I may not get it back. Any help would be appreciated.

You could inquire about your book through Mae Jemison's website.

Is it possible any more to get Mae Jemison to sign anything, either in person or through the mail?

I have attended two events featuring her as a speaker in the past year, and there was a no-autograph policy at both. Anyone had any success through the mail in the last year or so? I would pay a fee, if necessary. Thanks.

I don't think she signs anything anymore.

She appeared at the Intrepid Museum in NYC a year so ago. I was able to catch her for one autograph beforehand. But as soon as she had finished presenting she was whisked away.

All times are CT (US)
