Does anyone know Paul Weitz's signing policies? According to Juergen Esders' list, Weitz will not sign covers by mail. I wonder if that is still true? |

While its been a year since I've asked him to, he signed some covers for me then. |

I had the same experience as Al. Sent him a Skylab cover for completion, with $30 and an addressed (not stamped) return envelope. Turn around time was 14 days from the UK. |

I have a few items that I would like Paul Weitz to sign and I was wondering if he had a website or email to contact him and ask him if he would sign them. Anyone can help me? Thank you!(I saw that he charges for items but my items are rather unconventional so I would like to ask first.) |

Old thread, but does anyone have any recent experience with sending items to Paul Weitz? |

I've never had an issue. Last experience was around 18 months ago and I got the items back within 2 weeks. |

I sent a photo of myself with him into him about a year ago and got it back signed 7 days after I mailed it. |

Thank you all for the feedback. Aside from one item I sent to Sen. Glenn's office, I've never sent items to individual astronauts for signing and even in that case I emailed his assistant first. Seems to me the polite thing would be to email him first with the request rather than just send the item (it's a poster) and have a strange poster tube arrive in his mail one day. Problem is, the Resources page here at cS (understandably) doesn't list his email - so advice on what to do would be appreciated. |

Whenever it's an item that's unusual or I especially don't want to lose - or it's going to an address I'm unsure about - I send a letter with a SASE asking if I can send them the item. That way, too, one can keep track of how long the request comes back and thus know how long the item will be out.Of course, that's not always foolproof, as one person said, sure send them the item and I'm still waiting on it a year later.... |

Please note that Paul Weitz has updated his signing polices: $80 per autograph, no models, balls, or globes; return postage and packaging required. |

You could write him and ask. When I sent him a photo I had taken with him to sign two years ago I got it back signed in a week. |

I wrote to him a couple weeks back asking if he was still signing and if so...what his current prices were. I got a response back that he is no longer signing autographs.
