I recently (2014) sent a couple of covers to Apollo flight director Milton Windler asking him to sign, and had them returned unsigned.
Has anyone else had any sort of interaction with him?

I recently received a signed photo from him after an eight year wait... definitely the longest I've waited for a response from anyone (not counting the ones I'm still waiting for, of course). But I'm grateful nevertheless that he signed it for me. It was a pleasant surprise to see it in the mailbox.

He has signed a few photos for me, but I also hear from others that he is what I would call "a sporadic signer". Sometimes he responds, sometimes not at all (not even returning the items sent).
What does "a couple of covers" mean? Five? Ten? Sending multiple items does of course reduce your chance of getting a favourable reply.

Thanks Juergen, that's what I was looking for. I sent two.
