Col. Alvin Drew, who flew on STS-118 last August, spoke today at the Family Day event National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. A short movie was shown with a Q&A session following. After the event Col. Drew took time to pose for pictures and sign autographs.

I also had the chance to attend Col. Drew's presentation this morning. I arrived a few minutes early and had the chance to talk to him about viewing the STS-118 launch in August. He told me he was glad they were able to give us an on-time launch (I didn't remind him that the launch had actually been postponed a day). Col. Drew was very gracious and an interesting speaker.

He spotted Nicole Stott's autographed and so signed next to hers on my copy of "Space Shuttle: The First 20 Years" at the X-STEM Extreme STEM Symposium on April 24 in Washington, DC.
(And Drew was the No. 155 shuttle signer in my book, No. 167 overall.)
