I am about to send an STS-116 crew photo that has only been signed by Bill Oefelein. I am sending it to Mark Polansky (the Commander) and was wondering if he is a tough signer.I read elsewhere that he may take long periods of time to reply, and with his mission coming up in May, will this make it worse? Thanks and please let me know. I wonder if I will see my Bill Oefelein ISP again! |

I have written to Mark Polansky twice and have received a response from him both times. It may take awhile due to his upcoming flight, but you might consider writing to him and may receive a reply, like I have. |

I wrote to Mark Polansky 4 months ago and have not received my items back yet. This is not uncommon, he has been a great signer in the past.Charles |

I also wrote to Polansky a couple years ago and received a signature about 4-6 months later. I would give it a shot, since Polansky seems to have a good track record. However, I would also warn you that not everyone on the 116 crew is a great signer through the mail...so you might have difficulty completing the crew photo (if that's your goal), unless you meet some of the others in person. | |
