Hi, a friend of mine is a captain on an MD-11 for Swissair (now unfortunately bankrupt). He told me that about a year ago he had Armstrong on a flight from Geneva to New York. He recognized the name and went to the cabin and talked to him. Armstrong was rather quiet but did inscribe and sign a postcard of the plane for my friend. I told him how lucky he was, and he does appreciate the fact that he got to talk to Armstrong. I guess as the captain he has certain privileges! |

I had a strange dream the other night that Armstrong came over to my parent's house for dinner! Like most dreams that go wrong (naked in school, unable to run...etc), I didn't have a photo and there were no pens to be found anywhere in the house. I think my hobby is getting to me.....Ha! |

Wow, Teg... I had a dream about meeting Neil Armstrong about 2 months ago! It went something like this....I was at the bank with my wife, and who comes in behind us? NEIL ARMSTRONG !! Neil walks in with dried muddy boots on, and a white t-shirt...and steps into line behind me. He's just come in from his bean field ( I knew this in the dream )... I turn around and there he is... I quietly freak out a little bit to my wife, then I regain my composure. He's very friendly, and shakes my hand warmly. In the dream I'm thinking about asking for his autograph, but for some reason I don't. Then he and my wife start to make small talk, while I wrestle with my inner demons... I want to be civil and tactful, but I want his autograph, too!!! I turn and make my bank transactions. When I'm finished I turn to say anything I can think of to Neil, but he's gone! My vision blurs, and my head is reeling... how did I just meet Neil Armstrong, and not get his autograph???? I turn to my wife for moral support, and she is smiling from ear to ear, as she hands me an inscribed, autographed Neil Armstrong WSS portrait with the inscription " That's one small step for a Man, one giant leap for Mankind " I was dreamin' !!!!
