I stumbled upon a reference to this exhibit of an outstanding engineer who played many rolls in his career as an aerospace engineer for Rocketdyne and Rockwell, from the Apollo to shuttle programs: "Achieving the Impossible Dream: The Life and Dreams of Shelby Jacobs" opened Dec. 15, 2018 at the Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey, California and was to run through the spring.

Among his contributions is the design of the camera that took the now iconic Apollo 6 color movie of the separation of the S-I stage.

The exhibit documents Jacobs' achievements, a photo of his famous video, one of Jacobs' old suits, his briefcase, his ID badges, family photos and even one of the hand-carved pipes he often carried around with him at work.
Unfortunately, the center's website doesn't mention this exhibit, so it's possible it may have closed. They do have an interesting looking exhibit on the "Women of Apollo" opening today (May 16, 2019).

I've never had the chance to visit and can't really speak to the overall quality of the experience, but these two are focusing on some interesting and not well explored people who helped to make NASA history.

All times are CT (US)
