Just got back from Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex yesterday along with another collectSPACE member and it was a great time! It has been three years since I have been there and a lot has changed.

I got to see the Apollo 11 monument in front of the Apollo Saturn V Center, the Apollo 1 exhibit, the renovations to Launch Pad 39A with SpaceX operations and Launch Pad 39B with the launch tower for the SLS.

The NASA Now exhibit with the Orion EFT-1 capsule, SpaceX Dragon capsule and Boeing mockup capsule were another favorite of mine.

The real treat was the launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket with the AMOS 17 satellite aboard on August 6th. What a treat that was!!

In the past I have been to KSC many times for shuttle launches and landings and the launch attempts and/or landing attempts were either scrubbed or diverted to Edwards Air Force Base. I was not scheduled to be there for this launch and went to KSC at the last minute. Glad I went and got to see all the new attractions/exhibits and finally a launch!

All times are CT (US)
