I imagine there are gift shops at Kennedy Space Center and the Astronaut Hall of Fame, but are there any other space collectibles stores in the nearby area to visit?

  • Space Shirts has a store on State Rd. 3 in Merritt Island, next door to Shuttles Bar & Grill, that offers custom design t-shirts, patches, pins and other souvenirs.

  • The Space Walk of Fame Museum includes a gift shop, which sales support the Foundation, museum and monuments that are under their trust.

Other space shops and/or organizations in the area no longer in operation are Don Clark's Spaceland Enterprises on Merritt Island and Mary Duncan's Space Coast Souvenirs, of Port Saint John, no longer has a store front. Cape Kennedy Mint, owned by Tom Foley of Cocoa Beach, also no longer operates a store location.

I'm heading down to KSC for another visit in early December. I have been before, so I am pretty familiar with KSC itself, and the Astronaut Hall of Fame nearby. However, I'd be interested to check out any nearby stores or other good spots.

Are there any good stores for a space fanatic to check out? I know The Space Store is somewhat close. Is there anything else I should visit? More interested in flown items or items used in the program, rather than just T-shirts or hats. I'm spending part of my trip in Miami, so anything along the way would be great!

Given the proximity to KSC, there must be a fair amount of memorabilia, artifacts, etc, down there, so I'm hoping there might be some shops to see! Thanks for any advice!

In Titusville, there is a consignment shop in the back area of the Searstown Mall. It is worth a stop as I have picked up a number of items there.

I was down there last month and I must report that the Space Store in Cocoa Beach just isn't worth the drive. And the Astronaut Hall of Fame's gift shop is now an empty room.

Really, your best options for buying cool space stuff lie within the gates of the visitor center. Be sure to hit the new store at the Atlantis Pavillion, they have a lot of stuff you can't find anywhere else at the center.

They also have a small store at the Orlando airport.

Would definitely recommend going to The Space Store in Cocoa Beach. Any reason is a good reason to drive down A1A.

I believe the Space Store is in Cocoa and not Cocoa Beach.

All times are CT (US)
