Public access to Johnson Space Center's Rocket Park is now limited to Space Center Houston unless accompanied by a JSC badged employee.
Rocket Park's south parking lot (nearest the main entrance guard gate) is now closed to the general public. Only badged employees and their guests, protocol tours and the media may use this parking lot. Public visitors will be directed to Space Center Houston.

Employees may still use this parking lot to take family and friends to the Saturn V building and Rocket Park, but at least one badged person must be in each vehicle. No additional badging is needed for your friends and family members as you escort them.

Was there some sort of incident that led to this change? Personally I enjoyed driving up there bright and early before anyone else arrived. Very unfortunate.

All times are CT (US)
