This plaque, which has the names of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo astronauts, was presented by Neil Armstrong to the President at the Western White House in 1974.
In making the presentation, Armstrong said "Mr. President, you have proclaimed this week to be United States Space week in conjunction with the fifth anniversary of our first successful landing on the Moon. It is my privilege to represent my colleagues, the crewmen of projects Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and Skylab, and the men and women of NASA, and the hundreds of thousands of Americans from across the land who contributed so mightily to the success of our efforts in space in presenting this plaque which bears the names of each individual who has had the privilege of representing this country" in a space flight.
Can you make out all the signatures?

Charlie Duke is below Alan Shepard. Neil Armstrong is to their left.

Jim Irwin below and to the left of Duke.

Not sure but it looks like Grissom below Aldrin and Edward White II below McDivitt. And, Al Worden to the left of Irwin.

I think that is Ron Evans below Aldrin.

Jack Swigert and Fred Haise between Bean and Roosa. The sequence is right.

Here is another view of the plaque.

This transcript of the ceremony indicates that the plaque would be placed in the White House.

Skylab is mentioned in the remarks, but I do not see any Skylab signatures, apart from Conrad and Bean.

The remaining signatures look like Gus Grissom between Duke and Carpenter, Wally Schirra below Carpenter, Donn Eisele below Cunningham, Bill Anders and Rusty Schweickart below Bean, and Ed Mitchell below Worden.

My count is 34 signatures on the plaque. MR-3 to Apollo 17.

All times are CT (US)
