I have been to the Space Museum in Hong Kong before and will be going again on the 30th July, but I am also visiting Beijing and Shanghai, anyone know of any space gems in either city?

We were on vacation in China a few months ago and came across this Long March/Shenzhou in downtown Beijing. It looked to be 45-50 feet tall, so that would make it pretty much full-scale, although I had always envisioned it be much bigger (like a Titan II-size). I don't think that it was a high-fidelity display, but definitely more than just an aluminum tube.

I was out there in July and it could well be the one at the The Chinese Aerospace Museum that you saw.

The tour guide said that the building that it was adjacent to was a convention center. I'll try and post some pictures.

It could well be the same mock up that was on display at the Military Museum of China Beijing in 2000.

It has probabaly been moved yet again.

Great pics.

The Long March launch vehicle that was used on Shenzhou 5, China's first manned launch was 62 metres tall. The Chinese Long March 2E used for satellite launches was just under 50 metres tall.

This could well be the mock up based on the man rated CZ-2F.

This year I will visit Beijing and Shanghai in China and as a long time space collector I want to visit a Spaceflight Museum in China.

Is there anyone who visited such a museum? Or is there more information about addresses and what is exhibited? All info is welcome!
