Topic: Orion MPCV boilerplates: tours and disposition

I know I am thinking very ahead in the future but what will come of all of the Orion boilerplates? I know that the one they used for the splash tests is right now on tour and it may be in DC at the end of April/ early May. During the tour you can sign it which I plan to do. |

You'll notice the hatch missing on the side, so it would not survive the splash test today.  The nice thing about having a Commander's Club card is you can come and go as often as you want, regardless of weather. Living five miles away helps too. |

That particular Orion was not used for splash tests. It was the fit-check mockup for the Pad Abort-1 test built in 2008 at Langley Research Center. It was recently moved from the White Sands Missile Range to Kennedy Space Center by way of three public appearance stops. |
