A short video tour of the NASA Glenn Research Center:
Last month I had an opportunity to tour the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio with David M. DeFelice, Community Relations Team Lead.
Fortunately I was able to film some highlights of the tour.
We checked out some way cool space research facilities and I got to hold the first baseball used as the World Series ceremonial first pitch from space.

Thanks Dave for sharing that video. I hope that you had a great time at NASA Glenn.
I worked with David DeFelice on quite a few occasions when I worked at NASA Glenn's Visitor Center. NASA Glenn has some truly one of a kind facilities and great people working for them.
If you have the chance to go back, see if you can get a tour of NASA Glenn's Plum Brook Station and check out the Space Power facility, which is the world's largest vacuum chamber. Hollywood just filmed quite a bit of the new "Avengers" movie there.
NASA Glenn was also the only NASA facility to have a nuclear research reactor (which has since been decommissioned). Back in the 1950's the they (when they were still the NACA) were working with the U.S. Air Force to investigate the possibility of nuclear powered planes!!!
