Thank Ed for showing a photo of Michael Foale at work in space. I had the pleasure of meeting him when he gave a talk in Cambridge a few years ago and it was enlightening with his adventures on the Mir space station and the ISS.Of course having been born, raised and educated in GB we can claim him as one of our own, but if it wasn't for becoming a United States citizen (his mother was American) he would not have had the stellar career with NASA he had. Both countries are very proud of him and I suspect Russia too. |
