John Young steps from the Astrovan at Pad 19 on March 18, 1965, to participate in a dress rehearsal of the Gemini 3 launch, together with Gus Grissom. Young is followed by suit tech Joe Schmitt, while Steve Tatham of Kennedy Space Center Security holds the door of the van open.

He doesn't look like a rookie. Who would know that he would go on to be one of NASA's most experienced astronauts.

Correct for Voskhod 2 date...

Seems like the Omega Speedmaster chronograph wasn't yet issued?

Good point but I think that's due to Ed's color correction skills rather than the original photo.
