Fins are attached to the first stage of Saturn IB SA-210 in the Vehicle Assembly Building in December 1974 in preparation for the US-Soviet Apollo-Soyuz mission.

Wow! I saw that rocket being launched, seven months later. I've also seen SA-209 at KSC, but I had never noticed those inspection hatches near the base. I can now see them on my photos of SA-209.
