 About four months before the launch of Apollo 17, astronauts Gene Cernan (left) and Jack Schmitt (third from left) pose with their backups John Young (second from left) and Charlie Duke (center) in front of their lunar module Challenger in the Manned Spacecraft Operations Building at KSC. Also pictured are support crew members Bob Parker (right) and Gordon Fullerton (second from right). Behind them the lunar rover is about to be folded into Challenger's descent stage. |

Nice photo to celebrate the renaming of the building in honor of Neil Armstrong, and to see how tight the fit was for the LRV in the LM descent stage. Also like the LMP pose by Schmitt and Duke! |
