The Solar Max satellite is silhouetted against the earth shortly before it is released from Challenger's cargo bay, following its repair by astronauts Nelson and Van Hoften on STS-41C in April 1984.

Today everybody and his brother is posting photos of Gagarin and STS-1. They are all over Facebook, so I didn't want to do that.

You made a fine choice, Ed.

41-C was a great mission to watch — lots of things going on.

The flight of Crip, Scobee, TJ, Pinky and Ox! Brings back memories of following it on the old analog TV.
