What a beautiful image. Coincidentally, earlier this week I spotted Jimmy's photo at the 1:23 mark in a video clip titled "Our Story in 2 Minutes". Don't blink or you'll miss it. |

Thanks guys. This is one of my personal favorites. It was also one of the quickest launches I can remember. We never saw it again after entering the clouds. I didn't realize what I had until I got back to my hotel room later that morning. It was then that I discovered I had something pretty special. |

That's a wonderful photograph, but you have additionally done me a great service Ed by providing a link to Jimmy's website. As I previously was not aware of the website, this was my first visit. What a treasure of photographic craftmanship. Thank you to both Ed and Jimmy. I look forward to many more visits here and I urge anyone who still has to make a visit to do so without further delay. |

I always liked this photo. To me, it's one of the iconic shots of the Shuttle Program. I'm a fan of launch photos anyway, and this is one of the best. Thanks for the post! |

Great photos! Reminds me of my third shuttle launch attended in person, STS-82/Discovery in 1997. Night launches are always spectacular. |
