Ed White hangs upside down in front of Jim McDivitt's window during his Gemini 4 EVA in June 1965. This is one of the lesser-known of the 16 stunning pictures that McDivitt took while White was outside.

Forgive me for repeating myself, but I think Ed White might be the greatest astronaut of all, if only because he made America's first spacewalk look so easy when it was repeatedly proven later that it must have been anything but that.
